Being a photographer often leads me to very interesting people and places, Akola is a perfect example.  This non profit based in Dallas sells vibrant necklaces and jewelry.  All the profits go to the amazing women and families in Uganda who make them out of recycled materials.  It's great to see a local business work so hard to empower and give an avenue for women to provide for their families.  It was great meeting the Dallas team and watching them work check out their stuff at http://akolaproject.org/  The Container Store provided the shelving to keep this cool company organized.
