I've always been a fan of a monochromatic color story. This shoot I did featuring Taylor Lovelace is inspired by the simple elegance of a hero color. Playing off her red hair we paired graphic red clothing with a rich red background. Followed by pinks on pink and white on white. So simple and classic, I'm so happy with how the shoot turned out. National Pizza Day!
Or as I like to call it the best day of the year! I think pizza is the perfect food. Who doesn't love a perfectly crisp crust, warm melted cheese and an infinite amount of topping options. How appropriate that my last two shoots were both pizza related. I recently took these at The San Francisco Cheese School where chef Jocelyn Vanlandingham shared with me the art of pizza making. I'm still daydreaming of her breakfast pizza with a freshly cracked egg on top... YUM! See more on my main site in the head hand feet section.
Photographers can be cruel.
Maybe not intentionally cruel but we'll do whatever it takes to get the shot. At times that doesn't end up going well for models. Take this shoot with model and USC Track and Field athlete Lyndsey Lopez. That day was already cold and windy here in San Francisco. Our famous fog was starting to roll in further chilling everyone on location. She got her frigid workout in that day all with a smile on her face. Even after I had her to run through the frame again and again and again and again... jumping, stretching, sprinting. Talk about a true champion.
The Perks of the Job
Photography has led to amazing experiences from standing on the edge of a mountain during sunrise to a filming on a soundstage in Barcelona. As fun as that can be some of my favorite experiences are meeting chefs and shooting the dishes they create. Not to mention you get to eat the amazing food once you've got the shot. ;-) Here are some images I shot for a travel magazine and the aftermath once the crew and I devoured the dishes.
New work with Jay Brewer
Here's some fun new men's fashion I shot with Brands like FILA to Vans. It was a great time and reminded me of the styles around in the 90's. Especially the Tommy Hilfiger! That takes me back!
Spring Beauty
I'm pleased to share some of my latest work with venteren model Molly. This spring beauty shoot is lit with all natural light in studio. Gotta love these beautiful spring days flooding the studio with amazing light. Check out my website and instagram @jbueti for more.
New Work for AAA
What an awesome day this was! The theme was a road trip/picnic inspired lifestyle shoot promoting safe driving practices. We got to shoot parks and roads around the always beautiful Golden Gate Bridge as well as some iconic San Francisco neighborhoods.
Super Bloom
Those of you who follow me on instagram, facebook and twitter might have already seen some of these. If not follow me on instagram, facebook and twitter or you'll miss out! ;-) These are pictures I shot of the great super bloom happening now all over Southern California. Specifically in Antelope Valley at the poppy reserve. What a day of hiking, amazing fields of flowers and color! If you can make it, get out there!
Get Out
The Pacific Northwest inspires so many people to get out and adventure. These are images from a shoot I did for The North Face combined with surreal California and Oregon Landscapes.
Head Hand Feet with Kelsey
I met Kelsey as a model for an advertising gig I was shooting. While chatting on the ride to the next location she started telling me about her art. Kelsey combines painting and textiles to create one of a kind wearable art pieces. I spent a few hours with her as she showed me her homemade patterns, delicate painted silks and sewed pieces for a one off blouse she's working on. See more of her on her Instagram @Domo_gallery
